Robbie Maine and Lauren Hess

Robbie and Lauren were married on July 29th. That is Dawna and Robbie's birthday as well. Poor Lauren will have to buy alot of gifts in July!! ;)

Aunt Ida 1912~2009

Ida Marie Johnson Roman, 96, a resident of Barnes House, Derry Township, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Barnes House. She was born Sept. 7, 1912, in Latrobe, the daughter of the late Samuel A. and Anna Frichtel Johnson. She was a graduate of the Latrobe High School "Class of 1930." In 1978, she retired from the Lightcap, McDonald and Moore law firm, where she had been a legal secretary for 40 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, St. Rose Roman Catholic Church and a former member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. A member of the Catholic Daughters of America (CD of A), Court St. Xavier No. 230, for 75 years, she had served as treasurer, lecturer, financial secretary and counselor for the Junior Catholic Daughters. She had also been a member of the Loyalhanna Community Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Roman; her son, retired Marine Lt. Col. Joseph G. Roman; brothers, Lawrence Frichtel and John Johnson; and a nephew, James Frichtel. She is survived by a daughter, Veronica Roman Dougherty and husband, Robert, of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, David V. Roman and wife, Mary, of Loyalhanna; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, including Lillian Pishioneri, of Freehold, N.J. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Parastas services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Panachida services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by the Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Barnes House, 2021 James St., Latrobe, PA 15650.
